Why a cleanup found nothing or stopped early

The screen at the end of every run says how it ended, and By selection under it shows how each ticked row ended: Done, Failed, Rate limited, Not finished or Not started. Find the result’s title below, plus two related cases: an account that signs you out before the run starts, and old content the platform no longer lists.

Nothing deleted
Nothing matched your filters. Widen the date range, clear the keywords and the Content Filters (likes, comments, views), and check that you picked the right tab and categories. In chats only the messages you sent are deleted, so a chat holding only the other person’s messages ends with nothing deleted, and on Reddit, Only unedited content (ticked by default under Randomize Content) skips anything you have already edited. If the run’s list said Can’t be removed next to items, Unpost couldn’t remove them (the platform refused, or its page didn’t load in time): try again later, or contact support.

“signed you out” when you open the account
The saved session had expired, and nothing was deleted. Tap OK, then tap the account row, which now reads Not connected — tap to log in, and sign in again.

Couldn’t finish
The platform stopped accepting requests during the run, usually because the session expired. Tap Try again, or open the account from Main: if the session really expired, Unpost says the platform signed you out; tap OK, then tap the row, which now reads Not connected — tap to log in, and sign in again. If the list opens normally, start the run again. On Facebook, Couldn’t finish also appears when Facebook refused every timeline post it was asked to delete (they read Skipped in the run’s list). If it keeps happening, contact support.

Stopped early
The run ended before it worked through every selection, for example because the Deleting button was tapped. Everything already deleted stays deleted; start it again whenever you like.

Free daily limit reached, or Paused by the platform
The first means the day’s free allowance ran out. The second means the platform stopped accepting requests for now: wait a few hours before starting again. Old content isn’t reached
Some platforms stop listing older content. On Discord, X (Twitter) and Reddit, Delete from data package works from your data export and reaches what the platform no longer shows. See How to delete old messages with a data package.
