How to delete other people's messages as an admin
Disponible en inglés
Admin mode deletes messages other people posted, in the Discord servers and Slack workspaces where you have the rights to. It works in channels only, never in DMs.

Pick the channels
On Discord the list shows only servers you own or where you have the Administrator or Manage Messages permission: tap one and tick its channels, or Select all. On Slack it shows the workspace’s channels, and only to a workspace admin: for anyone else it stays empty. Then tap Continue.

Choose whose messages go
Select User to Delete opens. Turn on Delete All to delete everyone’s messages in those channels, or tick members in the list: ticking one turns Delete All off. On Discord, Add User by ID reaches someone who isn’t in the list: type their ID in Enter User ID and tap Add; the i next to it opens a web page that explains how to find a user ID. Then tap Continue.

Narrow it with a date range or keywords, then tap Delete
The options screen has the same date range and keyword filters as a normal run, and they apply here too. On Discord, the What to delete choice on that screen doesn’t change an admin run: it always goes through every message in the channels you picked, their threads included, and it also removes your own reactions from those messages. On Slack, Delete Messages, Delete Threads and Delete Reactions do apply.

Bueno saberlo
- Admin mode never lists DMs. In a DM, only the messages you sent can be deleted.
- Comments other people left under your own posts have their own options on some platforms: Delete Comments On My Videos on TikTok, and Delete Comments Left On Your Posts on Facebook.
- A message Discord doesn’t let you delete is skipped, and the run goes on.
- Deleting is permanent: other people’s messages can’t be brought back either.
