How to delete old messages with a data package
When a DM is closed, a post is years old, or a thread is impossible to locate, the platform’s own export gives Unpost an index to work from.

Request the export
Ask the platform for your data package. Delivery takes anywhere from minutes to several days.
In the app Platform settings

Choose Delete from Data Package
Select the mode, then pick the ZIP from your device.
In the app Main → Discord → unpost.user → Delete from Data Package

Let the app index it
Indexing happens on the device. Nothing from the archive is uploaded.
In the app Data package → Import

Run the cleanup from the archive
Selections and filters work as usual, but the app now knows where the old content is.
In the app Data package → Continue
Good to know
- An archive is a snapshot. Content posted after the export was generated is not in it.
- Available on the platforms that offer usable exports — Discord and Twitter/X today.
